Job summary

MORPC in Central Ohio seeks a Customer Service Outreach Specialist to recruit clients for weatherization and home repair programs. You will engage communities at events, build relationships with public and private partners, and promote MORPC’s energy efficiency initiatives.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least three years of customer service, and a valid driver's license. You will work independently and as part of a diverse team to advance regional energy programs and equitable

Qualifications

• Requires ability to follow verbal and written instructions and learn tracking systems.
• Knowledge of residential energy conservation techniques is preferred so information can be shared with customers.
• Ability to understand the needs of MORPC's service area and show empathy toward residents.
• Must work well independently and in a diverse team, with effective communication and multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

• Engage community members at public/private events to recruit clients for weatherization and home repair programs.
• Meet monthly recruitment, partner meetings, and community presentation goals.
• Provide information to the general public and agencies to recruit participants for energy efficiency programs.
• Deliver partially vetted client lists to Intake for follow-up and application completion.
• Support MORPC staff with calls, emails, and program leads as needed.
• Attend community outreach events to promote MORPC programs and initiatives.
• Back up other intake staff and housing specialists as needed.
• Uphold MORPC policies and promote an inclusive, team-oriented environment.
