Job summary

Ohio Utilities Protection Service is seeking a Public Awareness & Services Coordinator (Liaison) to lead educational programs, safety talks, and membership development across our service area. The role collaborates with the communications team to craft content for social platforms, newsletters, and press releases while advancing OHIO811’s mission.

The position requires travel up to 50% and the ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred.
• Prior Public Speaking experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Increase awareness of OHIO811’s mission and service.
• Lead public awareness initiatives including safety talks and events; develop educational programs and mediates with stakeholders.
• Coordinate damage prevention programs including budget, sponsorship funding, monitoring and reporting.
• Travel up to 50% of the time and collaborate with the communications team for media content.
• Develop new membership opportunities; recruit and retain members and follow up on delinquent accounts.
• Maintain records for reporting and metrics and ensure compliance with organization policies.
