Job summary

ICF International seeks an Associate Manager, Commercial Energy to lead utility-sponsored energy efficiency, electrification, and DSM programs. You will guide strategy, client engagement, and team leadership to deliver measurable savings and pilot innovative technologies.

The role requires 5+ years in energy efficiency or related consulting, with strong analytical and communication skills, and experience coordinating across multiple departments and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Energy, Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in energy efficiency, utility program management, or consulting.
• 2+ years leading cross-functional teams and managing client relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel; experience with Power BI or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of residential, commercial, and pilot energy efficiency programs.
• Manage program budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and regulatory deliverables.
• Lead cross-functional teams including analysts, engineers, outreach, and marketing staff.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal departments to meet objectives.
• Support business development, program launches, transitions, and continuous improvement.
• Design and execute pilot programs to evaluate new technologies and delivery models.
• Analyze cost-effectiveness, energy savings, and market potential.
• Monitor trends in energy efficiency, DSM, and distributed energy resources.
• Cultivate relationships with clients, manufacturers, and community stakeholders.
• Direct teams responsible for project reviews, incentive processing, and reporting.
• Develop SOPs and workflow automation; present metrics to stakeholders.
