Job Summary
The Recruiter, Energy Practice is responsible for sourcing, engaging, evaluating, and placing qualified talent in engineering, technical, and operational roles supporting Consulting Solutions’ energy clients. This role develops strong candidate pipelines across nuclear, power generation, oil & gas, renewables, and related engineering disciplines while partnering closely with delivery and client-facing teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality talent. The Recruiter combines technical recruiting knowledge, relationship building, market awareness, and a strong sense of urgency to support client needs and an exceptional candidate experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Source, engage, screen, and present qualified candidates for engineering, technical, and operational roles across the Energy Practice.
•Develop targeted sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, the applicant tracking system (ATS), referrals, networking, and other recruiting channels to identify both active and passive talent.
•Build and maintain talent pipelines for specialized and hard-to-fill disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, controls, civil, and other energy-related engineering and technical functions.
•Conduct thorough candidate interviews to assess technical qualifications, relevant industry experience, certifications, work history, compensation expectations, availability, and overall alignment with client requirements.
•Partner closely with delivery leaders and client-facing teams to understand job requirements, technical needs, client environments, and priorities before beginning candidate outreach.
•Present qualified candidates with clear, accurate documentation that highlights relevant experience and alignment with client requirements.
•Manage multiple open requisitions and recruiting priorities simultaneously while maintaining timely communication and a strong sense of urgency.
•Build trusted relationships with candidates throughout the recruiting process, providing clear communication, setting expectations, and supporting a positive candidate experience.
•Support offer and placement activities, including compensation discussions, candidate commitment, expectation management, and coordination with internal teams as needed.
•Maintain complete, timely, and accurate candidate, activity, and requisition information within Bullhorn and other recruiting systems.
•Maintain knowledge of energy industry trends, certifications, regulations, and talent market conditions.
Contribute market intelligence, candidate feedback, and recruiting insights to help internal partners refine search strategies and respond to changing client needs.
•Maintain relationships with placed consultants and talent networks to support referrals, redeployment opportunities, and future hiring needs.
Education and Experience Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. [Preferred]
•1–3 years of staffing or agency recruiting experience. [Required]
•Experience recruiting engineering, technical, operations, or other specialized talent for external clients. [Required]
•Energy-sector recruiting experience within nuclear, power generation, oil & gas, renewables, or related industries. [Preferred]
•Experience managing multiple requisitions, including high-volume and/or specialized hard-to-fill searches. [Required]
•Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools such as Bullhorn, LinkedIn Recruiter, and major job boards. [Required]
•Field, plant, engineering, or other direct energy-industry experience that supports understanding of client environments and technical roles. [Preferred]
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•Working knowledge of engineering and technical disciplines relevant to the energy industry, with the ability to learn role-specific terminology and requirements quickly.
•Ability to evaluate candidate qualifications against technical job requirements and communicate candidate fit clearly to internal partners.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective candidate interviewing and expectation setting.
•Strong negotiation skills with the ability to navigate compensation discussions, candidate concerns, and competing priorities professionally.
•Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple requisitions, candidate pipelines, deadlines, and follow-up activities in a fast-paced environment.
•Strong sense of urgency, ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
•Ability to maintain accurate recruiting documentation and appropriately handle confidential candidate and client information.
•Remote professional work environment aligned primarily to Eastern Time business hours.
