Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to drive end-to-end bid opportunities for the Energy & Power Americas unit. You will own submissions quality, collaborate with capture teams, SMEs, and Sales Operations to develop compelling value propositions and tailored responses.

The role focuses on managing proposals, coordinating documents, and ensuring timely, professional deliverables. Travel may be required, with hybrid work options and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and coordinating proposals, presentations, and related sales or business development deliverables.
• Proposal experience in engineering, architecture, construction industries.
• Advanced verbal, writing, editing and proofreading skills with sales messaging focus.
• Strong organizational qualities and attention to detail.
• Willing to travel as needed to support pursuits.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply company identity standards, structure, and sales process.
• Develop draft sections of sales documents communicating Jacobs’ value proposition.
• Coordinate and develop sales documents using tools, guidelines, and templates.
• Support Sales Operations Managers, Pursuits Leads and team in large pursuits.
• Manage response efforts across various sizes and complexities.
• Develop and implement proposal directives and response plans; monitor progress.
• Organize and lead color reviews for feedback on strategy and messaging.
• Organize and participate in response-related meetings (internal/client).
• Proofread and edit technical and non-technical documents for accuracy.
• Provide desktop publishing and collaborate with designers for complex materials.
• Conduct internal/external research and respond to information requests.
• Develop or update sales qualification materials.
• Participate in in-house business development activities and pursuit teams.
• Participate in interview prep and presentations.
• Populate Salesforce CRM.
• Requires minimal supervision.
