Job summary

Energy Innovation seeks a quantitative analyst to advance philanthropy-focused research on clean energy policy. You will run and refine the Energy Policy Simulator to test scenarios, interpret outputs, and communicate findings through memos and presentations.

You will also perform data analysis on large datasets, develop visualizations, and collaborate with partners to translate complex results into clear policy messages.

Qualifications

• Experience with climate, energy, or environmental analysis.
• Ability to interpret policy and model results clearly.
• Familiarity with mathematical calculations for physical systems and statistics.
• Comfort using AI agents to support quantitative research and modeling.
• Strong data visualization literacy with tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Modify and run energy and climate models, designing policy scenarios and inputting data.
• Synthesize model findings and prepare partner-facing reports and visuals.
• Conduct in-depth research on legislation and policy opportunities with clear citations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure clear messaging.
• Maintain documentation of methods and results and ensure QA/QC.
