Job summary

Generate Capital seeks a Policy and Engagement Manager to shape regional policy and regulatory strategy, starting with SPP and ERCOT. You will integrate regulatory insights into commercial plans, coordinate with internal teams, and lead engagement with utilities, regulators, and external advisors.

With 5+ years in energy policy or market strategy, you will balance policy goals with business priorities and drive outcomes across jurisdictions, while coordinating consultants to support Generate’s

Qualifications

5+ years of energy policy or market strategy experience.
Experience engaging with utilities and grid operators; preference for SPP/ERCOT.
Experience with wholesale market design, regulatory structures, and interconnection processes (ERCOT/SPP).
Experience navigating PUCs, ISO/RTO initiatives, and administrative proceedings.

Responsibilities

Set policy priorities and engagement strategies for state and ISO/RTO markets.
Monitor policy updates (FERC filings, state legislation) and translate into guidance for internal teams.
Represent Generate in policy forums and trade groups to advocate favorable outcomes.
Ensure policy outcomes reflect Generate’s commercial priorities in core geographies (SPP/ERCOT).
Coordinate consultants, lobbyists, and external resources to deliver timely outputs.
Partner with internal teams on interconnection strategy for large load customers.
