Qualifications

• One year of service as a Policy Analyst 1 (Energy), OR seven years of experience in energy policy and program development
• Advanced expertise in energy policy areas such as demand response, energy market design, advanced rate designs, or utility business models
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to present and testify on technical matters
• Familiarity with energy affordability for low-to-moderate income households or clean energy access barriers
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience substitution; master's, J.D., or Ph.D. can substitute for additional experience

Responsabilités

• Supports the Transportation and Grid Modernization Unit within New York's Department of Public Service, developing and overseeing distributed energy resource and demand response programs
• Analyzes utility filings and prepares technical reports
• Participates in rate proceedings and provides expert guidance on energy policy areas including grid modernization, energy efficiency, and clean energy access for low-to-moderate income households
