Job summary

Corix is seeking an Energy Production Operator in Cleveland, OH to operate and maintain boilers, chillers, generators, and supporting equipment 365 days a year. You will monitor pressures, temperatures, and water chemistry, performing rounds from basement to roof while ensuring safe, reliable energy delivery.

The role requires hands‑on engagement, clear shift communication, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in operation of boilers, chillers, motors, pumps and generators is an asset.
• 3rd Class Stationary Engineers license (Ohio), Refrigeration license preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Past experience using hand and power tools preferred.
• Skilled in driving forklifts, manlifts, unloading trucks and chemical totes.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety and health policies and procedures.
• Start, stop and operate boilers, chillers, generators and auxiliary equipment, keeping system pressures and temperatures on target.
• Conduct regular rounds and daily walkdowns to inspect equipment and document performance.
• Perform routine maintenance on pumps and valves; isolate equipment using lockout/tagout.
• Test boiler and softener water; adjust chemical treatment and regenerate softeners.
• Track chemical inventory and unload chemical deliveries.
• Take readings and samples and supply data for production reports.
• Communicate clearly with peers at shift change and support teammates.
