Job summary

Ever-Green Energy seeks an Operations & Maintenance Engineer to manage heating and cooling plants at the Hennepin County Energy Center in Minneapolis. The role includes preventive and corrective maintenance, safety procedures, and data analysis of plant performance.

Requirements include two years of ops/maintenance experience or technical training, a Minnesota Second Class license with potential to upgrade to First Class within two years, and ability to operate complex plant equipment.

Qualifications

• Two years of plant operations and/or maintenance experience or related technical training.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Hold Minnesota Second Class “A” or “B” Operating Engineer’s License; First Class “A” within two years.
• Knowledge to operate heating/cooling equipment, pumps, boilers, chillers, and related equipment.
• Ability to read schematics and interpret technical instructions.
• Ability to collect and analyze data and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Operate heating, cooling, distribution, and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Inspect equipment and facilities for safety and compliance.
• Perform equipment isolations and lockouts for safety.
• Test system chemistry to maintain normal ranges.
• Maintain operating logs and maintenance records.
• General housekeeping and organization of materials and tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
