Job summary

Energy Systems Group is seeking a Performance Engineer to join our Public Sector East team serving New England or New York. The role emphasizes site surveys, energy analyses, financial modeling, and developing concrete, cost-effective solutions for clients with significant travel requirements (25%–50%).

Ideal candidates have ABET-accredited degrees and 3–8 years in construction or energy services, with optional certifications such as CEM/CMVP/LEED. A PE license and related credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Engineering/Technology degree or equivalent.
• 3–8 years of experience in construction or energy service fields.
• Certifications and professional licenses such as CEM, CMVP, LEED, NEBB, TAB, ASHRAE, PE are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth site surveys to identify inefficiencies and analyze utility bills and financials.
• Create technical plans and communicate with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers.
• Develop energy savings calculations, life cycle cost analyses, and guarantee savings for proposed measures.
• Build financial models and coordinate with Account Executives and Project Managers to present proposals.
• Ensure smooth installation and act as a technical liaison between operations and sales teams.
• Verify equipment choices and develop measurements to guarantee energy and operational savings.
