Job summary

Harvard Medical School's Campus Planning and Facilities seeks an Energy Performance Engineer to evaluate energy systems, using Clockworks and energy heat maps to identify faults and drive improvements.

You'll coordinate retro-commissioning activities, work with internal stakeholders, and develop energy conservation measures while maintaining data analytics and field diagnostics to verify ECM performance and savings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Energy Engineering, BAS engineering, Commissioning, Energy Management or related field.
  • Background in building automation and commercial HVAC operation.
  • Certifications in commissioning preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Using Clockworks platform, review the system fault history to identify possible problems and mitigate energy deficiencies.
  • Regularly check that energy data trends and histories are collected and stored properly.
  • Using analytics tools, identify potential energy issues and saving opportunities, provide an action plan.
  • Assist in development of energy conservation measures and a scope of work for contractors.
  • Maintain an inventory of energy diagnostics tools, conduct basic field investigations and surveys.
  • Monitor and analyze data on energy systems to verify ECM performance and energy savings.
