Job summary

Harvard University is seeking an Energy Performance Engineer within the Harvard Medical School Facilities Group. You will review energy systems, coordinate retro-commissioning, and lead data analytics to identify energy savings opportunities.

The role involves working in mechanical spaces, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and supporting continuous commissioning using Clockworks and BAS tools to improve campus energy performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Energy Engineering, BAS engineering, Commissioning, Energy Management or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of building automation and commercial HVAC operation.
  • Experience with fault-detection/continuous commissioning tools.
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review fault history using Clockworks to identify energy issues and propose remedies.
  • Ensure energy data trends are collected and analyzed for savings opportunities.
  • Develop energy conservation measures and scopes of work for contractors.
  • Coordinate retro-commissioning activities with internal and external teams.
  • Monitor data to verify ECM performance and energy savings.
