Job summary

Southern States Cooperative, Inc. seeks motivated students for a Summer 2027 Energy Operations Internship in Siler City, NC. The program offers exposure to energy operations, logistics, customer service, safety practices, and cooperative business management.

Interns gain mentorship from experienced professionals, networking with leaders, and a capstone project with a final presentation. Housing and transportation are the intern’s responsibility, with a 40-hour weekly schedule during the season.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Business, Agribusiness, Energy Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related program
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Interest in operations and customer service
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to work in office and field environments
• Valid driver's license preferred

Responsibilities

• Support daily energy operations activities
• Assist with inventory and logistics planning
• Observe customer service and account management processes
• Participate in safety meetings and training
• Analyze operational processes and identify improvement opportunities
• Complete a meaningful summer project and presentation
• Shadow energy operations team members and gain field exposure where applicable
