MISO is seeking a Market Evaluation Analyst II to analyze wholesale electricity markets, evaluate market outcomes, and support market design improvements. You will work with data to identify issues, develop insights, and contribute to strategic projects for stakeholders and customers.

Required are degrees in Economics or Data Science with at least two years of experience, and proficiency in R, Python, SAS, EViews, VBA, Power BI, and Azure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or Data Science (required).
• Two years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform statistical and economic analyses of market and system operations.
• Develop metrics, visualizations, and reports, including automated alerts.
• Assess health and performance of MISO's markets and report findings.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns and potential issues.
• Translate analysis into clear findings for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to market design improvements and analytical projects.
