Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Forecasting Solutions Analyst in Houston, TX, to mitigate risks from retail electric customer load and extract insights from market data. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum two years of energy industry experience.
  • Ability to deliver time-sensitive work products for internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to respond promptly to dynamic requirements from internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills.
  • Understanding of energy market fundamentals and deregulated market design preferred.
  • Experience handling large quantities of electric usage data preferred.
  • Ability to analyze customer account and historical usage data for forecasting, pricing, and contracting.
  • Ability to work with utilities and internal stakeholders to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Mitigate ENGIE’s risks from retail electric customer load and derive insights from market data.
  • Support pre-deal activities including data acquisition, quality assurance, analysis, and forecasting.
  • Support load data processing with SLAs and standards.
  • Improve forecasts by optimizing data processes and platforms.
  • Develop understanding of the assigned market and internal platforms used by the team.
  • Procure historical load data and utility attributes and improve data acquisition through automation.
  • Set up and process data using validation and estimation tools.
  • Review deals for accuracy based on guidelines and standards.
  • Support creation and maintenance of internal documentation.
  • Support post-deal maintenance of customer attributes and load data.
  • Support development, testing, and execution of platform, system, and process testing.
