Job summary

ICF is seeking an IT Business Analyst to join the Utility Program and Services Group. The role emphasizes math/engineering background and advanced Excel expertise, supporting energy efficiency tracking, reporting, and system design throughout the software development lifecycle.

The candidate will translate complex calculations into Excel models and convert them into system requirements, train users, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality IT solutions for energy projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or related field.
3+ years in IT project delivery or related role.
Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, macros, advanced data analysis).
2+ years creating requirements, design specs, test scripts, and system docs.

Responsibilities

Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle with a focus on energy efficiency tracking and reporting tools.
Engage stakeholders to define system requirements and optimal design approaches.
Analyze client processes for technology-driven improvements.
Develop documentation: requirements, design docs, use cases, test plans, scripts.
Read complex calculations, build dynamic Excel models, convert to system requirements.
