Job summary

The United Illuminating Company in Orange, CT seeks an Analyst - DG to analyze and improve DER interconnection processes, coordinating with customers and engineering services. The role blends field and office work under the Projects Units manager and emphasizes continuous process enhancements and strong customer focus.

Responsibilities include serving as the DER applications hub, driving cycle-time and cost improvements, and coordinating with customers to resolve complex interconnection issues

Qualifications

• Five years of experience performing analytics and related subject matter preferred.
• Strong quantitative skills with ability to use spreadsheets or similar programs.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills with the MS Office Suite.
• Must be self-directed with initiative and able to lead people and teams.
• BS/BA Degree from an accredited college/university in an analytic discipline or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central point of contact for Distributed Energy Resources applications within UI, coordinating across engineering, operations and related departments from initial application to final interconnection.
• Analyze, design, and implement improvements to cycle time, cost, and customer satisfaction across the DER process.
• Coordinate with customer representatives to resolve moderately complex interconnection issues.
• Contribute to achieving best-in-class DER processes and performance metrics.
• Review interconnection agreements and coordinate activities to meet contractual obligations.
• Assist in annual budgeting, monthly cash flow revisions, and variance analysis.
