Job summary

The United Illuminating Company in Orange, CT seeks an Analyst to optimize the Distributed Energy Resources interconnection process, using management systems and performance measures responsive to DER installations. This role blends field and office work and reports to the Manager – Projects Units.

You will coordinate with customers and internal teams, analyze cycle times and costs, prepare budgets and invoicing, and provide routine performance metrics to drive improvements in the program and

Qualifications

• Five years of analytics experience preferred.
• Strong quantitative skills with spreadsheets or similar tools.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills with MS Office.
• Must be self-directed with initiative and able to lead people and teams.
• BS/BA Degree from an accredited college/university in an analytic related field or business.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central point of contact for DER interconnection applications across engineering, operations, and other departments from initial to final interconnection.
• Analyze, design, and implement improvements to cycle time, cost, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with customer representatives to resolve moderately complex interconnection issues.
• Contribute toward best-in-class DER interconnection process performance.
• Review interconnection agreements and coordinate operational activities to meet contractual obligations.
• Assist in annual budget preparation, monthly cash flow revisions, and variance analysis.
• Prepare invoicing for interconnection projects.
• Provide routine group performance metrics.
