The role involves bidding, negotiating with subcontractors, maintaining cost databases, and supporting proposal development while staying current on industry trends and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3–5 years of construction estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and project documents.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for energy construction projects (pipelines, facilities, infrastructure).
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals and other docs to prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimates.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and scope.
• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing.
• Identify and assess risks and opportunities associated with project costs.
• Maintain accurate cost databases and historical project data.
• Participate in proposal development and client presentations as needed.
• Communicate estimate details with internal teams and external partners.
• Stay informed of industry trends, material costs, and construction methods.
• Utilize estimating software to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
