Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking an Estimator in Baton Rouge to accurately calculate construction costs for energy projects, including pipelines and facilities. You will analyze blueprints, review specifications, and prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates to support competitive bids and project planning.

Collaborating with engineers and project managers, you will solicit bids, assess risks, and maintain cost data while staying current with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably energy/oil & gas.
• Able to read and interpret complex blueprints, specs, and project documents.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, B2W Estimate) and MS Office.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Independent worker with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of construction practices, regulations, and safety standards.
• Experience with energy infrastructure projects (pipelines, gas compression, power generation) desirable.
