Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP, a national law firm serving middle-market companies, seeks a Business Development Manager to drive revenue for the Energy Industry Team and infrastructure-related practices. The role involves strategic planning, budget oversight, and KPI tracking across multiple offices and practice areas.

The ideal candidate will have deep B2B professional services experience, energy market insight, and proven leadership. This position offers multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or other relevant area.
• Minimum of five years of experience in a B2B professional services or legal setting.
• Strong strategic planning and development skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Proven leadership and ability to think critically.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong negotiation skills and solution-orientation.
• Ability to travel across the firm’s national footprint; some overnight travel required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio that includes the Energy Industry Team, practice groups, data centers and P3s; allocate priorities and resources.
• Collaborate with Practice Group and Industry Team leaders and senior firm executives on strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate with Directors of Practice Services and Department Chairs on performance and service offerings.
• Drive support for Industry Team and Practice Group pursuits and associated projects.
• Develop and execute business development strategies: client engagement, cross‑servicing, and proposal/presentation development.
• Oversee the work of BD Associates and Coordinators; set timelines and accountability.
• Assist with RFPs and pitches for new business and budgets for groups.
