Job summary

Welty Energy in Akron, OH is seeking a proactive HR Generalist to support onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and offboarding, delivering a positive and compliant employee experience for both new hires and tenured staff. You will serve as a trusted front line for employees and leaders, promoting an engaged culture and consistent HR practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of HR generalist or related experience
• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws
• Experience with HRIS (preferably ADP) and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary HR contact for policies and programs
• Provide benefits, payroll coordination, and HR inquiries support
• Partner with leaders to drive engagement and team effectiveness
• Maintain an inclusive workplace culture
• Lead onboarding improvements and pre-boarding activities
• Manage offboarding processes including exit interviews and system updates
• Support training and development initiatives
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and generate HR reports
• Assist with HR projects and process improvements
• Provide administrative support to leadership
