Job summary

SeibertKeck Insurance Partners in Akron, OH is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, recruitment, timekeeping, HRIS maintenance, and compliance. You will partner with managers to deliver a positive employee experience and help drive HR programs in a growing regional firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of three years of progressive HR experience in a Generalist or comparable role
• Experience supporting onboarding, recruitment, timekeeping, attendance tracking, and HR administration
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present and orient.
• Experience with HRIS platforms and maintaining employee data
• Willingness to cross-train and serve as backup payroll processor
• Strong judgment and discretion with confidential information
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruitment: post positions, screen applicants, schedule interviews, background checks, and pre-employment coordination
• Maintain accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria with managers
• Represent organization at career fairs and university events to build talent pipelines
• Lead internship program: recruitment, onboarding, engagement, evaluation
• Coordinate onboarding and new employee orientation as HR resource
• Support HRIS maintenance, data integrity, and payroll coordination as backup
• Assist with timekeeping accuracy and attendance tracking
• Coordinate employee status changes and compliance reporting
• Assist with policy communications and handbook updates
• Contribute to HR projects related to compensation, benefits, performance, and development
• Provide guidance to managers on performance management and employee relations
