Job summary

Performance Systems Development is seeking a Building Support & Training Engineer to ensure external contractors successfully adopt and use our internal software tools that support program participation.

The role is the technical resource and SME for PSD's energy modeling and program delivery tools, providing training, troubleshooting, and ongoing support to strengthen weatherization and building decarbonization efforts across New York.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4 years of professional experience in energy efficiency or building science.
Experience with residential home performance contractors.
Strong knowledge of residential building science and energy efficiency.
Experience using residential energy modeling software.
Strong customer service and training/outreach skills.
Ability to travel within New York.
Proficiency with software tools, data entry, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical resource for energy modeling and program tools.
Train contractors and troubleshoot software workflows.
Support adoption and continuous improvement of software processes.
Coordinate with project management, software development, outreach, and contractors.
Assist with contractor outreach, recruitment, and field support.
Maintain high-quality customer service.
