Job summary

Tri-State Energy, Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer to identify and develop energy efficiency projects, bridging sales and engineering teams. You will engage with clients, utilities, and contractors to design engineered HVAC solutions and promote program pathways.

The role emphasizes site assessments, cost analyses, and effective communication to secure project opportunities regionally, with travel within the Tri-State area as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Interest in energy conservation and HVAC systems.
• EIT or PE license preferred but not required.
• HVAC industry certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and pursue HVAC project opportunities through direct outreach, networking, and referrals.
• Meet with clients to understand facility needs, budgets, and constraints.
• Prepare proposals, bids and technical solutions for customers.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure smooth handoff from sales to execution.
