Job summary

Willdan Lighting & Electric, a division of Willdan Group Inc., seeks a Project Coordinator to facilitate energy efficiency projects in the New York City area. The role supports program staff, contractors, field personnel and clients to develop ECMs for multifamily buildings, reducing gas/electric usage or electrification efforts.

Hybrid local to New York, NY with 2-3 days on-site weekly. Key duties include coordinating project intake, reviewing energy savings, tracking progress, and ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years in energy efficiency, multifamily housing, or PM.
• Strong communication with clients and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organization; manage projects from start to finish.
• General familiarity with energy efficiency principles & tech.
• Proficient with commonly used software tools and tracking.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized under pressure.
• Knowledge of energy-efficient natural gas tech or electrification measures.
• Interest and capacity to learn HVAC equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage project intake and shepherd projects from engagement to final payment.
• Review energy savings and coordinate with contractors on ECMs.
• Review pre- and post-inspections for energy projects.
• Track projects using Willdan’s data management software.
• Gather and review project documentation (savings, equipment specs, etc).
• Network with industry stakeholders and attend events as needed.
• Provide contractors with actions to ensure program compliance.
• Monitor tasks, progress and milestones for the program.
• Communicate with internal staff, contractors and customers.
• Engage in all areas critical to program success.
