Job summary

Willdan Lighting & Electric is seeking a Project Coordinator to support energy efficiency projects in the New York City area. The role coordinates with program staff, contractors and clients to develop ECMs that reduce gas/electric usage or support electrification.

This hybrid NY position requires 2–3 days on-site weekly and may involve local travel, with duties spanning intake, inspection reviews, documentation, and progress monitoring to ensure program success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• 1-2 years experience in energy efficiency, multifamily housing or PM.
• Effective communication with clients and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills with end-to-end project ownership.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency principles and sustainability reporting.
• Familiarity with office software and tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage project intake and shepherd projects from engagement to final payment.
• Coordinate with contractors on project pipelines and energy savings reviews.
• Review pre- and post-inspections and track project documentation.
• Utilize Willdan’s data management software to monitor progress.
• Gather energy savings data, equipment specs and financial docs.
• Attend events and network with industry stakeholders as needed.
• Provide guidance to contractors to ensure program compliance.
• Monitor tasks, reporting and follow-up on progress.
• Communicate with internal staff, contractors and clients.
• Support program success across all areas as needed.
