Job summary

Willdan Lighting & Electric, a division of Willdan Group Inc., has an opening for an Engineering Lead in New York, NY. You will manage the day-to-day operations of the Engineering team, oversee workload, and ensure timely engineering reviews to support program delivery.

The role focuses on supervising engineers, coordinating projects, and driving efficiency in energy efficiency programs, with opportunities to advance engineering processes and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline as listed.
• Minimum 8 years in energy efficiency, engineering consulting, or utility programs.
• At least 3 years leading or supervising engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of multifamily building systems and energy efficiency measures.
• Experience reviewing technical calculations and energy savings methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Engineering team to move projects efficiently.
• Assign projects based on workload, expertise, and priorities.
• Balance workload to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor performance and provide coaching and guidance.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review priorities and status.
• Ensure engineering reviews are completed on schedule and within timelines.
• Track projects and proactively resolve issues with contractors and managers.
• Develop standardized engineering workflows and drive process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with program requirements and standards.
• Prepare weekly status reports for leadership and forecast resource needs.
