Job summary

TopBuild Home Services, Inc. is seeking a HERS Rater / Rating Field Inspector for the Daytona Beach area. You will perform blower door, ventilation, and duct leakage tests on new homes and verify energy ratings while working with site superintendents.

You will document findings, prepare performance reports, and communicate requirements to customers and officials. Training is provided; local travel is common, with opportunities for growth in energy testing certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license for company travel.
• RESNET RFI/HERS Rater certification preferred.
• BPI or Building Science knowledge preferred.
• Training will be provided for teachable candidates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct blower door testing on new construction homes.
• Perform ventilation testing and duct leakage testing.
• Carry out code‑based energy inspections and verify HERS/Energy Star ratings.
• Log results and generate home performance reports.
• Communicate with site superintendents, customers and local officials.
• Travel locally with up to 100% travel as required.
• Conduct infrared scans and use company software for reporting.
