Job summary

Willdan Lighting & Electric, a division of Willdan Group Inc., in Maspeth, NY, seeks an Energy Efficiency Auditor to grow our outside sales for commercial and residential customers. You will conduct energy assessments and present tailored energy conservation measures (lighting, HVAC, weatherization) to utility signers and customers.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of outside sales experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to generate leads and meet sales targets.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of outside sales experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Detail oriented and analytical.
• Ability to work with internal staff and outside clients.
• Experience with energy auditing, commercial lighting, refrigeration, weatherization; HVAC systems a plus.
• Self-motivated, sales-oriented.
• Outgoing with strong customer service.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with technology (cell phone, iPad, laptop, MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Actively generate leads through door-to-door canvassing and in-person outreach.
• Meet weekly and monthly sales and business development goals; commission plan.
• Provide information on utility incentives and program details.
• Present proposals for energy conservation upgrades and program incentives.
• Report daily activities using Willdan's data platforms (ViewPoint, ViewPoint DI, Prospector).
• Attend and support event tabling and community outreach.
• Conduct energy assessments of commercial buildings and identify energy efficiency opportunities.
