Job summary

Cascade Energy in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an Engineer II to join our energy optimization team. You will work directly with clients to assess operations, identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, and develop models that quantify savings.

You’ll lead projects from start to finish, gather data, prepare feasibility reports, and communicate complex findings clearly. Occasional site visits and a hybrid in-office schedule support collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of engineering experience.
• Technical knowledge of refrigeration, compressed air systems, steam systems, modeling of systems, electrical distribution, and data-logging of system results.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned projects, providing overall management, direction, and accountability from start to finish.
• Analyze industrial systems, collect performance data, and calculate energy savings using appropriate tools and methodologies.
• Engage with clients onsite to understand operations, identify energy efficiency opportunities, and strengthen client relationships.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and prepare energy efficiency project reports based on findings and observations.
• Maintain understanding of utility program requirements and provide peer support through technical discussion and work review.
