Job summary

Frontier Energy, Inc. is seeking an Energy Engineer to perform on-site energy savings analyses and collect data from client facilities.

You will coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, install data-logging equipment, and translate findings into actionable energy optimization recommendations. The role requires travel up to 25% and strong Excel/data analysis skills, with a focus on building systems like HVAC, hydronic, and electrical.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Environmental, Architectural, or a related discipline; ABET accredited or equivalent).
• At least three years of relevant experience in engineering, building systems, energy efficiency, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyze building systems (HVAC, hydronic, electrical) in commercial/industrial settings.
• Perform on-site energy analyses and develop energy-saving recommendations; support rebate/incentive applications.
• Install sub-metering devices and interpret data to develop energy models.
• Outreach to new/existing clients to identify project opportunities.
• Manage time across fieldwork and office tasks to meet milestones.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and designers to optimize energy use; present findings clearly.
• Provide regular project updates to the program lead; travel to customer sites as needed.
