Job summary

Energy Sciences is seeking a skilled engineer to help commercial and industrial clients reduce energy use. You will analyze energy data, develop projects, and deliver client-ready reports.

This role blends technical energy expertise with client-facing communication to drive efficiency and decarbonization initiatives. Work is primarily in the Grand Rapids area with a home-based office setup and up to 25% local travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum five (5) years of energy assessments and commissioning/retro-commissioning work experience for non-degreed candidates.
• Certifications such as CEM, CEA, CMVP, EBCP, and PE are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and quantify energy efficiency opportunities.
• Perform energy and economic analyses.
• Review energy assessments, opportunities, and calculations.
• Collaborate with customers and develop projects.
• Prepare reports and deliver presentations.
• Conduct site surveys and facilities assessments.
• Support customers with utility energy efficiency programs.
