Job summary

Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Efficiency Engineer to join our Des Moines, IA team. You will help customers reduce energy use by identifying savings opportunities, quantifying economics, supporting implementation, and verifying installation.

The ideal candidate has a BS or MS in Mechanical or Energy Engineering, with 2–4 years of energy efficiency experience. Strong communication, organization, and a valid U.S. driver’s license for local travel up to 20% are needed.

Qualifications

BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Energy, or similar Engineering.
2–4 years of project experience in energy efficiency.
Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills.
Valid U.S. driver’s license with good driving record and access to a personal vehicle.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Supports implementation of energy efficiency projects, including energy modeling and economic analysis.
Conducts energy analysis for large facilities to identify improvements across lighting, HVAC, and other systems.
Writes technical reports summarizing results from energy assessments.
Conducts measurement and verification site visits to establish energy usage patterns and verify installations.
Communicates with program staff, contractors, and utility customers to maximize program benefits.
Delivers high-quality services within budgets and schedules.
Travels locally up to 20% as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
