Job summary

Resource Innovations seeks an Energy Efficiency Engineer in Des Moines, IA to help clients reduce energy use and save money by identifying energy savings measures and quantifying project economics. You will support implementation, verify installations, and communicate results to customers and stakeholders while traveling locally up to 20% for site visits.

A BS/MS in engineering and 2–4 years of energy efficiency experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical, Energy, or similar Engineering.
• 2–4 years of project experience in energy efficiency.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects with technical staff.
• Strong oral/written communication and analytical skills.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and personal vehicle.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Interest in sustainability and environmental impact.

Responsibilities

• Supports implementation of energy efficiency projects, including energy modeling and economic analysis.
• Develops project scopes and summarizes implementation details.
• Writes technical reports quantifying energy savings and economics.
• Conducts M&V site visits to verify installations and monitor usage.
• Communicates with program staff, contractors, and customers to maximize program benefits.
• Delivers high-quality deliverables within budgets and schedules.
• Travels locally up to 20% for site visits and project needs.
