Xcel Energy, a Fortune 500 energy provider, seeks a technical specialist to drive adoption of conservation programs across our electric and gas offerings. You will review analyses, provide guidance to sales and marketing staff, and build expertise in HVAC, lighting, and other energy efficiency areas.

The role emphasizes customer-facing work, collaboration with product managers, and staying abreast of energy-related codes and regulations to maximize rebates and program impact.

Competenze

• BSME, BSEE or related engineering degree from an ABET accredited curriculum.
• 6+ years minimum experience preferred in energy conservation strategies or related field and significant direct customer contact.
• Licensed Professional Engineer certification preferred.
• Experience in consulting engineering, industrial processes, technical sales and project management.

Mansioni

• Review and validate conservation program analyses and ensure model compliance with state and corporate guidelines.
• Provide guidance and education to internal teams, customers and trade partners on technology issues and program offerings.
• Develop and maintain technical leadership in gas or electric conservation areas (HVAC, lighting, compressed air, etc.).
• Research new technologies to improve conservation offerings and monitor codes affecting program performance.
• Leverage networks and act as a technical sales advocate to customers and external partners.
