Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a technical expert in conservation programs to drive customer adoption of efficiency measures across multiple programs. You will provide analytic support, model development, and customer-facing guidance to improve offerings and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with sales, marketing and product teams, plus staying current with energy efficiency technologies and industry standards.

Qualifications

• BSME, BSEE or related engineering degree from an ABET accredited curriculum.
• 6+ years of experience in energy conservation strategies or related field with significant direct customer contact.
• Licensed Professional Engineer certification preferred.
• Experience in consulting engineering, industrial processes, technical sales and project management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate conservation program analyses in assigned areas according to regulatory and internal guidelines.
• Develop and maintain technical-financial models for projects and rebate expenditures.
• Provide guidance and training to internal teams, customers and trade partners on technology issues.
• Consult with customers on program offerings and collaborate with product managers to expand services.
• Monitor codes and standards to assess impacts on program performance and efficiency.
