Job summary

Prism Electric, Inc. in Garland, TX seeks an Energy Marshal to lead energy control activities on construction projects, including creating and executing MOPs, coordinating energization, and ensuring compliance with NFPA 70E and LOTO procedures.

The role requires Journeyman Electrician licensure, OSHA 30-hour certification, and extensive energy control experience on high-voltage systems. You will liaise with cross-functional teams to schedule and document all energized events.

Qualifications

• Minimum pay grade E-7 or equivalent.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification is required.
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician with active licensure.
• NFPA 70E training required.
• LOTO training and certification.
• Experience with MOP development and energization/ de-energization processes.
• Experience with systems operating above 600V and reading electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Energy Control Plan per Prism standards.
• Write MOP documents for energization and shutdown activities.
• Coordinate energization/shutdowns for construction and permanent power.
• Ensure energy control activities meet codes, standards, and safety regs.
• Schedule and communicate planned energization events with stakeholders.
• Conduct pre-task briefings and safety reviews for energization activities.
• Verify training and qualifications of personnel involved.
• Maintain records of energy control activities and documentation.
• Identify and mitigate energy hazards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary contact for energy control questions and escalations.
