Hitachi Energy USA Inc. in Raleigh seeks a Team Lead – Energy Consultant to guide a high‑performing group of consultants on complex advisory projects for utilities, system operators, and energy stakeholders worldwide.

You will combine technical depth with leadership and commercial acumen to shape grid modernization, energy integration strategies, and new services while ensuring delivery, quality, and strong client relationships across global projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a focus on power or energy systems.
11+ years (Bachelor’s), 9+ years (Master’s), or 7+ years (PhD) of experience in power system studies or research.
Experience providing advisory services, building customer relationships, and developing winning proposals.
Strong leadership experience and a track record of delivering high‑quality consulting projects.
Expertise in power system tools (PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD) and Python with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop consultants while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Identify and pursue new consulting opportunities by building strong customer and internal networks.
Deliver high‑impact advisory projects for key players in the electricity sector.
Drive innovation by proposing and shaping R&D initiatives with clear scope, budget, and outcomes.
Support contract negotiation, proposal development, and advanced stakeholder engagement.
Manage complex projects end‑to‑end, including scope, timeline, resources, and client satisfaction.
