Job summary

Idaho Power Company in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Economic & Community Development Advisor to build strong relationships with city and county officials and manage large customer load requests through to in‑service.

The role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams, preparation of analyses and proposals, and active participation in economic development goals while offering flexible schedules and potential remote work with approval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
• Experience in economics, business, community development, governmental affairs, relationship management, or marketing/communications is required.
• Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders representing a variety of issues.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage relationships between Idaho Power and local government officials.
• Manage the load request pipeline from inquiry to in‑service and coordinate with internal teams on proposals and assessments.
• Prepare analyses and deliver presentations; develop materials to align internal stakeholders toward a customer mindset.
• Support facility permitting and community involvement strategies.
• Travel as required and adapt to a regulated environment with cross‑functional teams.
