Job summary

Busey Bank in Dallas seeks a Commercial Underwriter II to deliver accurate, timely credit underwriting for Relationship Managers, with a focus on energy loans and supporting the Energy Team. You will spread and analyze financial statements, evaluate cash flow and collateral, prepare CCAR memos, and monitor portfolio risk while aligning with the Bank's loan policy.

A Bachelor's in Business or Finance and 5+ years of Commercial Credit experience (including 2+ years in underwriting) are required;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with concentration in Business or Finance.
• 5+ years of Commercial Credit experience.
• 2+ years in a Commercial Underwriter role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of financial accounting.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Spread and analyze financial statements, calculating DSC or FCC ratios.
• Use cash flow, liquidity, profitability, and leverage data to assess credit risk.
• Prepare concise CCAR memos with loan risk analysis.
• Evaluate collateral and industry data for credit decisions.
• Assist portfolio management with covenants testing and reports.
• Assist Relationship Managers with opportunity memos for new/existing relationships.
