Job summary

ARCXIS is hiring an Energy Code Compliance (ECC) Rater. The role involves testing HVAC systems per Title 24 guidelines, reporting findings, and coordinating from a home-based schedule with a centralized office. Training is available for candidates working toward ECC/Rater certification.

A driver’s license, reliability, and attention to detail are essential. Expect travel up to 120 miles daily in support of inspections, with a base wage of $22–$23/hour and potential increase to $26/hour after 90

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be HERS Certified or be willing to become ECC certified
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and state-minimum auto insurance; travel 80–120 miles/day
• Able to conduct multiple inspections daily
• Pass background check and motor vehicle report
• Submit reports via computer or smartphone
• Able to climb high ladders and work in cramped spaces
• Work in hot and cold conditions
• Able to lift heavy ladders and equipment over 50 pounds
• Raters work from home with schedules from the office and perform HVAC testing
