Job summary

AmeriCorps & Senior Corps is seeking an Energy Burden & Community Resiliency VISTA to help residents reduce energy costs, boost efficiency, and strengthen community resilience. You will develop education tools, coordinate with partners, and support planning for a Community Resilience Center.

You will build volunteer resources, define outcomes, identify funding opportunities, and ensure long-term program sustainability across related projects and sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising or grant writing is preferred.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
• Interest in energy efficiency and community resilience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen programs to reduce energy costs and improve energy efficiency.
• Create resident education, resource-navigation, and emergency-preparedness tools.
• Develop partnerships with energy-efficiency providers and community organizations.
• Support planning for a Community Resilience Center.
• Build volunteer and partner resources, establish outcome measures, identify funding needs, and create sustainable procedures.
• Coordinate improvements to Annie’s House resilience with the Demonstration Site VISTA and align services with HHV.

Energy Burden & Community Resiliency VISTA

Member Duties :

• The VISTA will develop and strengthen programs that help residents reduce energy costs, improve energy efficiency, and build household and community resilience.
• They will create resident education, resource-navigation, and emergency-preparedness tools;
• develop partnerships with energy-efficiency providers and community organizations;
• and support planning for a Community Resilience Center.
• The VISTA will also build volunteer and partner resources, establish outcome measures, identify program-specific funding needs and opportunities, and create procedures and systems to ensure long-term program sustainability.
• They will coordinate improvements to the physical resiliency of Annie’s House with the Demonstration Site VISTA and collaborate closely with the Healthy Homes VISTA (HHV) to align resident services, education, and resources.
