Job summary

Sustaining Way in Greenville, South Carolina, seeks an AmeriCorps VISTA to strengthen resource development infrastructure, craft grant, donor, reporting, and CRM systems, and secure resources for anti-poverty programs.

The member will develop a fundraising system and strategy to increase revenues year over year, aiming to align with 2023 actuals and support housing, health, education, and community resilience initiatives.

Qualifications

• Assess and strengthen Sustaining Way's resource development infrastructure to ensure clear priorities, records, and tools to secure and sustain resources for anti-poverty programs.
• Develop and pilot a fundraising system and strategy that improves the quality, timeliness, and continuity of fundraising to achieve revenue growth.

• Assess and strengthen Sustaining Way's resource development infrastructure to ensure clear priorities, roles, records, and tools to secure and sustain resources for anti-poverty programs.
• Develop and pilot a fundraising system and strategy that improves the quality, timeliness, and continuity of fundraising to achieve at least a 5% increase in revenues YOY (2025) with a longer term goal of returning organizational revenues to 2023 actuals (~700k).

Development and Funder Stewardship Americorp VISTA

Sustaining Way’s AmeriCorps VISTA project will build organizational and community capacity to strengthen sustainable, anti-poverty programs serving Nicholtown, New Washington Heights, and other low-income communities in Greenville, South Carolina. The Resource Development & Funder Stewardship VISTA will advance this goal by developing reliable grant, donor, reporting, stewardship, and CRM systems that increase Sustaining Way’s capacity to secure and responsibly manage resources for healthy food, safer and more energy-efficient housing, education, community health, resilience, and resident-led solutions. These systems will strengthen funder accountability, diversify organizational resources, reduce dependence on individual staff members, and leave Sustaining Way with documented tools and procedures that can be sustained after the member’s service.
