Job summary

The City of Indianapolis & Marion County seeks a seasoned energy program analyst to lead the Energy Benchmarking and Transparency program. You will develop goals, manage data collection, and communicate progress to city leadership and the public.

You will collaborate across departments to advance energy efficiency initiatives, producing annual reports and supporting equity considerations in resilience efforts.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in a related environmental field and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong ability to analyze datasets, communicate findings, and present to diverse audiences.
• Experience collaborating with city leadership, agencies, and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Energy Benchmarking and Transparency program.
• Track, analyze, and report municipal and private building energy data.
• Educate building owners and community members on program requirements.
• Communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with mayor's administration, council members, and sustainability staff.
• Prepare annual energy and greenhouse gas reports and inventories.
