Job summary

Cadmus is looking for an analytical data analyst who can design research, manage data collection, and apply advanced analytics to generate data‑driven insights for utility and government clients. You will work both independently and with teams to deliver on projects from start to finish.

You’ll apply statistical methods and communicate results clearly, collaborate with experts, develop dashboards, and help grow the business while mentoring junior staff in a dynamic energy advisory environment.

Qualifications

• MA/MS in economics, statistics, mathematics, data science, or related field with 3–5 years of experience.
• Experience transforming data and scripting in R, Python, or Stata.
• Experience deploying interactive data apps (R-Shiny, Flask, DASH, Power BI, or Streamlit).
• Experience with databases and SQL.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Interest to grow professionally and take on challenging work.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Familiar with energy sector/utility industry.
• Applied research design experience in a consulting setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead research design, data collection, data analysis, modeling tool development, and reporting tasks for client engagements.
• Apply statistical/econometric methods to assess program impacts and provide recommendations.
• Communicate methods, findings, data sources, and results in reports, presentations, dashboards, and visuals.
• Support management of consulting tasks including collaboration with clients, budgeting, invoicing, planning, and resource management.
• Provide mentorship and technical support to junior staff.
• Build client relationships through proactive communication.
• Identify and develop business development opportunities to expand client work.
