Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Energy Analyst for our High-Performance Buildings Services Group in Irvine, CA. You will develop and analyze energy models for new construction and existing buildings, evaluate energy performance data, and support sustainable design and operational strategies to reduce energy use.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, building owners, and other stakeholders to identify efficiency opportunities, support energy audits and retro-commissioning,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, sustainable building design, and decarbonized energy systems.
• Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze building energy models for new construction, existing buildings, and renovation projects to evaluate energy performance and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Analyze utility consumption, building trend data, energy systems, and operational information to identify energy-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate MEP systems and sustainable design strategies to support energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization goals.
• Support energy audits, retro-commissioning, and building optimization services, including data collection and documentation.
• Perform analyses to support net-zero energy, carbon neutrality, and decarbonization planning.
• Support energy code and standards analyses (ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, California Title 24).
• Prepare calculations, technical reports, and client deliverables communicating findings clearly.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, building owners, and other stakeholders to meet project schedules and budgets.
