Job summary

Xcel Energy in Golden, Colorado seeks an Energy Accounting / Energy Analyst Intern to support data collection, validation, and reconciliation for power flows and settlements.

You will work with Energy Accounting, Balancing Authority Operations, and stakeholders to ensure accurate data and reliable grid operations, with exposure to energy markets and regulatory requirements. The role starts May 31, 2027 and offers growth potential.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• Willing to work full-time during summer and part-time during the school year.
• Hybrid work policy requiring in-person commuting to Golden, CO.

Responsibilities

• Assist with validating and reconciling energy accounting data and transactions.
• Analyze EMS/IEM data to identify discrepancies and support settlements.
• Develop reports and dashboards for Transmission Operations and leadership.
• Support regulatory, reliability and settlement reporting needs.
