Job summary

FirstService Residential in Estero, FL is seeking a Line Cook to assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with the dining program and events. You will maintain a clean kitchen, train coworkers as needed, and support catering and daily kitchen operations.

The position requires basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and the ability to work across service types. Schedule is Wednesday to Sunday with full benefits and $20.00–$25.00 per hour.

• Hands-on and able to work any kitchen position.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to deliver vibrant menus.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed and kitchen meets health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Basic cooking techniques: braising, sautéing, roasting, grilling, recipes, ratio, portion controls.
• Knives: basic handling and correct use for each knife.
• Participates in catering (food and beverage) for functions.
• Assists in prep and daily kitchen setup.
• Maintains high energy and passion during service hours.
• Strong inventory and production ability in a timely manner.
• Understand inventory and product controls within culinary guidelines.
• Able to work in all service types (à la carte, buffet, etc.).
• Maintain a spotless kitchen and personal hygiene.
